The Reverend Clive Gerard  

The Reverend Clive Gerard died on Friday 6 March 2026.

Clive was ordained Deacon in the Diocese of Armidale (NSW) in 1978 and priested in 1979.

Clive served as Curate at Holy Trinity, Glen Innes (1978-1981), then worked in the Diocese of 
Bathurst at St Barnabas, East Orange (Curate), St. Barnabas, Coonamble, (Rector), All Saints, 
Dunedoo, (Rector), Honorary Locum Priest in Cumnock, Cudal and Canowindra (1982-1998).

Clive then moved to the Diocese of Gippsland (1998-2007) and served as Priest in Charge then Rector 
of Orbost, with pastoral oversight of The Lake Tyres Aboriginal Community
(1998-2002). He then served as Associate Priest (part time) St James, Traralgon and part time at 
St. Mark's, Rosedale (2002-2007).

Clive retired in 2007 to the Diocese of Newcastle with a PTO and was Locum at All Saints, Belmont 
(2008-09); and Locum St. Peter's, Swansea (2010-15).

He moved to Melbourne and held a PTO from 2021 to 2025.

Clive’s funeral will take place at St Paul's, Westmeadows, Cnr Raleigh and Wills St Westmeadows on
Friday March 13, 2026, commencing at 11am.   The service can be viewed online here.

We hold in prayer his wife, Susanne and his children Christopher and Adana at this time of loss and 
grief.
