- To Churchwardens of Christ Church St. Kilda, Case of E. Brett Esquire with the direction of the Bishop of Melbourne to request you to meet him at the Registry tomorrow at 3 PM to confer unto him upon the subject of certain charges that have been brought against Reverend D. Seddon ( David ). May 27 1868. Page 2.

- To the Reverend D. Seddon, Christchurch Parsonage, St. Kilda regarding the charges against him by several ladies who have complained about your conduct towards them. May 27 1868. Pages 2 and 3 and hand-written letter from T. a'Beckett about the charges. June 6 1868. Inserted - Page 52a.

- To the Church Wardens of Christ Church, St. Kilda saying that they have received the report by W. Templeton E.P.S. Sturt concerning the case against Reverend Seddon with the recommendation he should resign his cure. July 16 1868 Pages 230 and 231.

- Copy of the report with the conclusion that Reverend Seddon is guilty of conduct unworthy of his sacred calling. Pages 232 - 233.

- Letter to Reverend D. Seddon with Bishop's decision and accompanying copy of the report by W. Templeton and E.P.S. Sturt. July 16 1868. Page 234.

- Letter to Reverend A. Pyne ( Alexander ) with a request from the Bishop for information on the following points in reference to Kingston School.

1. As to the character and condition of the building.

2. The number, religious denominations and general character and disposition of the local committee.

3. Religious denomination and character of the teacher.

4. Religious instruction given. What? When and by Whom?

5. The General Superintendence exercised by the Clergyman.

I am further directed to ask you to return this letter with answers to the questions... August 1 1868. Page 312.

- Letter to R. Macey, ( Robert ) Kingston .... I am directed by the Bishop in reply to your letter of July 29 to state that it is intention to make enquiry concerning Kingston School 573 and will act on the information ... August 1 1868 Page 313.

- To W. C. Morris Esq. ? , Mornington asking if the Trustees of the Church at Mornington can inform him of the details of the stipend he may offer in their name to a clergyman to _ the Reverend Glover. August 5 1868. Page 330.

- From C. Melbourne. A letter attached before Page 671 ..for the Melbourne Hospital... It is proposed to form a library for the use of the patients at the Melbourne Hospital to be under the charge of the Chaplains and Readres of the District. The books will be the property of the Bishop .... October 12 1868.

- To J. H. Thompson, Church of England Grammar School, St. Kilda Road ...I shall be glad to have some correspondence with you respecting the Bishop's proposed new Church papers. If you will either call upon me here or let me know when and where I can see you I shall feel obliged... or I could call on you at South Yarra Parsonage in the evening... October 17 1868. Page 708.

- To _ Stephen Esquire. The Bishop has requested me to inform you that the Reverend Dr. Russell has declined the offer of the cure of Caulfield on the ground that "any change would prove a hindrance just now "to the Church in the district of the Wannon.... His Lordship will be glad to learn as soon as possible to whom the Trustees would wish him to offer the cure...the Bishop is desires me to mention Reverend A. W. Cresswell ( Arthur William )
